Cannoli Filling

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 package of Cannoli shells

  • 3 cups (24 oz. = 1½ lbs.) ricotta cheese

  • 1 cup (8 oz. = ½ lb.) granulated (white) sugar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla (I use Torano® Sugar Free Vanilla Flavoring Syrup)

  • 1/3 cup (5 oz.) Nestle ® Toll House chocolate chips
    ~ OR ~
    Rainbow (multicolored) sprinkles

  • 1 squeeze bottle of Hershey's® chocolate syrup


Cannoli

  • Preparation:
  • To make the ricotta very dry, dry to drain out any excess liquid from the container...

  • Mix the ricotta with the vanilla, sugar, and chocolate chips
    (or rainbow/multicolored sprinkles) in a large bowl for several minutes
    (You can use a large tablespoon,
    just be sure that no sugar is stuck to the bottom or sides to avoid the filling becoming gritty)

  • Now spoon into cannoli shells,
    and drizzle a little of the chocolate syrup over it and serve on a small plate...

  • Makes a dozen (12) cannoli...Serve & enjoy!
