• This is my 20th year of teaching as a fully-certified music educator:
  I taught middle school band & choir for 3 years to at-risk youth, and I
  taught an additional 3 years as music director at a private Christian academy.
  My principal instrument is the saxophone
  (which I have been playing for over 33 years now),
  and I also teach several other instruments as a private music instructor.
  I have a bachelor's degree (Rutgers University)
  and a master's degree (UTSA), both in music education.

• I am currently an active member of:
  TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association),
  NAfME (The National Association for Music Education),
  and Kappa Delta Pi: International Honor Society in Education.

• I have even served as a substitute teacher,
  as well as performing with various bands and ensembles over the years.
